Mahler 2 broadcast mp3s

Proper post to follow, but I just wanted to pop by and tell you that there are now helpful, downloadable mp3s of Monday's Radio 3 broadcast on my mp3 page. Thanks to Mr Dr Liz for supplying the mega-huge two-and-a-quarter-hour file from which I created the separate tracks.

Hi Jocelyn,

Great work! I'd already got hold of the full 2+ hours using get_iplayer, but splitting it into tracks is so tedious and annoying I hadn't got round to it, so massive thanks are due!

Andrew (Bass1, not currently at choir cos I'm planning a wedding)

Thanks Jocelyn, I had listened once to the "Caravan of Love"! and was wondering how I could listen again...it is growing on me when heard without the stress of keeping in time and tune!

Thanks for commenting, Andrew - I love it when I find there's a choir member reading that I didn't know about. I'll be up to double figures soon! Do come and introduce yourself when you're back, so I know who you are. And if you need any help with the music for the wedding, that's one of my services :-)

The track-splitting process, I have to admit, took six hours, but mainly that's because I'm very low on disk space so everything ran like treacle. And I was reading while doing it, so it wasn't as annoying as it might have been. But I'm very glad you found it useful.

Libby, I'd forgotten about the Caravan of Love thing - the reminder made me giggle! Crossing the Alps sounds really good, though, doesn't it? I really enjoyed listening to it (and the Mahler too of course). (Hee, you see what I did there? Mahler too!)
